Manta Diving

Our Partner Center on Madeira, Manta Diving is located in Canico de Baixo, directly at the beach of the Galo Resort Hotels.

The Diving Center:
Manta Diving is managed by Gabi and Stefan Maier and is the only Center located in the Underwater Nature Reserve of Madeira. Your own diving equipment can easily be brought to the Center with the elevator and can be stored there. A separate wet room with freshwater showers is available for the divers.

Equipment::
Manta Diving is equipped with up-to-date rental gear, that is maintained and checked by skilled personnel on a regular basis. Complete sets of scuba gear is available for rent.

Education:
Manta Diving offers BARAKUDA/CMAS/DTSA and PADI dive courses from beginner up to assistant instructor. Small dive groups ensure a very high standard and individual training without any stress.

The House Reef:
Diving at the house reef is a real adventure. You can explore 4 different sites that can be accessed via 4 easy entries. The Atlantic fauna and flora and the warm ridges of the Gulf Stream provide a variety, which can almost be compared to tropical waters. Ideal for beginners, experienced divers and snorklers. Film and photo lovers will surely have a great time in this "healthy" underwater world. Caves and grottoes, large groupers, barracudas, trigger fish, parrot fish and with a little bit of luck also mantas, make most of the guests to come back. Further dives sites can be reached within 5-20 Minutes by boat.

Boat Diving:
Boat trips to further interesting diving sites are organized on a regular basis with their custom designed 2 x 75 PS aluminium speedboat.
