KRKA WATER FALLS About 40 km from Murter direction Sibenik, Krka floats into the sea, making a spectacular water performance. The river is 72 km long and has formed many impressive waterfalls as it runs. In 1965 this region was declared into a national park. More than 850 plants and 18 fish species make the area an important reserve. The river valley is an ancient settlement, with traces from prehistorical times, a roman aquaduct, buildings and cultural monuments from the middle ages. The franciscan monastery, on the river island of Visovac and the orthodox monastery Krka, are the most important cultural heritages from this period. On the water falls Roski slap and Skradinksi buk one finds grain mills. The excursion can be done with car or boat. KRKA

NATIONAL PARKS Close to our dive center in Murter there is four national parks: Telascica, Kornati, Krka and Vis. On the way to Murter you find another national park - Plitvice, which many of us know from Karl May's films. We dive in Kornati 2-3 times per week, National park Vis is part of our safari program. The visibility and the richness of flora and fauna under water is the attraction of the national park. The KORNATI islands (about 140 so called "Crown"-islands) are also very much appreciated by sailors. Further info

CLIMBING & RAFTING Omis by the river of Cetina, is located about 100km south of Split. The river offers a variety of experiences, trips and sports. You can make rafting, canyoning and paragliding. The cliffs around Omis are a must among free climbers. Due to its damm, you can make all water sports in Cetina also in summer, when most of the rivers have too little water. Omis itself is a small Dalmatian town, with a wonderful stone architecture and a Mediterranean ambiente. An ancient fortress Mirabella overlooking the the old town, shows traces of the town's pirate history.
